What the future holds...

Updated: May 23, 2023

Somewhere in the editing process of my novel, I found the urge to create something new, something I could work on alongside editing.

Thus, Anima et Forma was born!

Anima et Forma is the story of Ardwin, the bastard Prince of Alexandria, who fights crime in the shadows, while his brother, King Erwin, lives a life of luxury and decadence. It has sword fights, political intrigue, magic, and mystery! I like to think of it as a fantasy Batman.

In an outpouring of creative energies, I wrote the first draft in a single day. The process was fun and the outcome was interesting, though not too spectacular. I knew something special was hiding beneath the surface, so I kept digging. Ten episodes later, and I'm hooked. I can't get enough of the characters, the chance to further expand and explore my fantasy world, and the fun of writing short fiction.

Where am I right now?

Well, I'm at a crossroads.

Unhappy with the lack of responsiveness in my current website, I sought help building a new one. Thus, I delayed the release of Anima et Forma and focused on getting my public presentation ready for the big stage.

It was frustrating at first, but I've taken the opportunity to revise and further edit the short stories. Anima et Forma is becoming more and more polished, and closer to being ready for publishing. Ultimately, the delay was a blessing. I have a big head start, so, when the story is released, I'll hit the ground running. The plan is to stay months ahead of my release schedule. We'll see how it goes! Creativity can be unpredictable- just like the birth of Anima et Forma!

When Anima et Forma is released, the followers of my blog will be the first to know!

So, there are two major takeaways here:

  1. A new fantasy series is about to hit Royal Road- Anima et Forma, by yours truly!

  2. The website is getting an overhaul and I am so stoked about it!
